If you're looking for a genuine party school, Coastal is not for you. If you're looking for a decent education, Coastal is not for you. Coastal Carolina is no longer a party school. if your idea of a party is a frat located in a tiny townhouse in a family orientated area, then you're in luck. parties are busted before 12 without fail each weekend. cops really cracked down and are eager to hand out tickets and arrests. bars are scarce and get old after a few weekends. the surrounding area is lifeless after the month of august. everyone there does not care about school whatsoever and either peaked in high school, or are now just discovering alcohol for the first time. the school is a joke and after the first semester all four of my roommates and i transferred out along with dozens of people we knew. this school is not at all what it's cracked up to be. do yourself a favor and don't waste your time.
