I started as a graduate assistant while working on a masters degree. Before I graduated, I was offered a full-time position and stayed. The course work was hard, but with the help of MOOCs and Khan Academy, I managed to graduate with a 4.0. Adjunct professors are working professionals so its hard to get a lot of help from them, but their real world experience is far more practical and valuable to students who want careers in the field, rather than in academia. The purpose of the final capstones are application - apply what you just learned! Use your new knowledge to solve a problem in your world!
