Actually bigendered student, 22 (as of 2015) from Monmouth County, NJ Honestly, as a psych student, the Psychology department I believe is very good and a number of professors of the psych department are friendly, knowledgeable, and all around helpful. Of course there a few to avoid completely. The math program I think may not be so well off, mixed language speakers (had to take Prob/ Stats for degree). This school major wise is not for everyone! Psych students yes! Art people, iffy. Food has gone downhill in quality and maintenance in some of the outside areas, like steps, need some repairs but inside of academic buildings is updated/ been updating. Compared to other dorms I have seen, the dorms here I find excellent, and they get better the further you progress. In terms of safety, I always felt safe, even walking alone at night, 90% of areas are well light. Many people complain of the social life but if you want one, the best thing to do is be involved in extra curriculars. All my friends are from clubs on campus, hell I was the founder of 2 clubs, and attend a handful. The "night life" some people desire in a town is definitely not here, but personally, I prefer partying in my room with some friends and a bottle. If we wanna go shopping, we can, movies? we can! There is stuff to do around here, just not a "night life". |
