All I really have to say is John Carroll University was the best school for me. It is located on the outskirts of Cleveland, Ohio which is only two and a half hours from my hometown. Because of this I can go home once in a while on the weekends if need be. The coursework is sort of challenging, but the professors really do prepare you for life beyond college. I went to John Carroll for one year and then had to take a year off due to medical issues but I decided to return in the fall for my second year, and I do not regret the decision one bit.I am an accounting major and my first semester I had one of the most difficult professors, but I was happy to pass and really can understand the principals of financial accounting. I am now learning about managerial accounting and am loving it immensely. One thing I really enjoy about this university is the fact that I am living in a newly remodeled dorm that is so well-kept that it feels like a hotel. At this university, I am surrounded by great people who enjoy my company. The cafeteria is not all that great but there are other places you can eat such as the Inn Between, the Cubby, you can go to some restaurants at the foot of campus, or the shuttle can drive you to special places. There are a lot of nice restaurants on the east side of Cleveland.Overall, despite having trouble that one year, I feel as though JCU has been a great experience for me, and I would recommend it to anyone who would like to go to a smaller school. |
