I attended AU just before the name change and earned a M.A. in Biblical Studies. The faculty is top notch. I took courses mostly online but also on campus. The campus is, let's face it, unimpressive, but who cares! The undergraduate program is entirely online. If you are looking for a traditional campus experience you won't find it here. If you are looking for credits that transfer and programs that are accredited, this is the real deal.

Most of the courses in my program required reading assignments, online assignments and participation and a term paper of roughly 30 pages. It was my impression that a good number of the students were foreign (English not the first language) or military with the government picking up the tab. They generally didn't work very hard or participate in the online discussions to any significant degree. They probably didn't do to well and many dropped out. But if you put in the work, you got a good education. I highly recommend their graduate theology programs, especially if there is no nearby program. It was ideal for me.
