I went to this school for two terms. The music program was great and so were the facilities. However, I felt the faculty outside of the music department were adequate at best. One professor in the Paideia department brought her teenaged son's socks to class and made us perform sock puppet plays. Moreover, she would complete my sentences while reading a text, because she assumed that I couldn't pronounce the words. Another factor that caused my experience at Luther to be poor was its medical care. I had a respiratory infection for little over a month, and all the medical center provided were cough drops for the first two weeks. My teachers told me to stay home from class, and I was unable to sing. It greatly impacted my grades. At the end of the month, the infection went to my lungs and I had to be administered breathing treatments. I soon transferred to the college back home and I couldn't be happier. Although my academic experience was lacking at Luther, the students are truly wonderful and caring people. |
