Every negative review you will find online about this institution is 110% accurate! I have completed (wasted) my first year here and will be attending a much more reputable school next fall. Do not attend this so called "school" if you want a promising career. Sure, the tuition inexpensive, especially if you're an in-state student, but I would recommend springing for a better place. Their College of Business has very little to offer to their students in terms of resources for finding internships. Their job fairs are an absolute joke! They don't emphasize the importance of field experience enough on freshmen. How are we supposed to compete in an already cut-throat job market if we haven't gained enough experience? I honestly have no clue how they got AACSB accreditation. I'm highly convinced they bribed them. Also, most of the professors (especially the Econ professors) speak very poor English and will not hesitate to fail you if they dislike you. They play the favorites game. Also, you can only take 2 classes per semester during your freshman year related to your field. Be prepared to take a bunch of irrelevant gen-ed courses and regurgitate a bunch of useless information. And most Gen-Ed professors WILL treat you like you're still in high school.

Other thoughts/opinions on the university:

  • The Registrar and Financial Aid offices are the most corrupt, disorganized, and incompetent bunch ever. Be prepared for your financial aid to get screwed up.
  • The dining options on campus are pretty limited and pretty unhealthy. The food in the AF is pretty good, except the hours are very limited. The same with CUB cafe. South Dining Hall…just no. I'm pretty sure dog food has more nutritional value. Also, the meal plans are pretty terrible. If you want a decent meal on campus, be prepared to use your FLEX. The meal plan is pure highway robbery!
  • The residence halls are pretty dismal. They're in the process of renovating a few of them. I was placed in a dingy, old hall that felt more like a prison cell.
  • Most of the student body hails from local areas within the state of PA, many being commuters. You have some people from Jersey, but really no diversity in terms of location. Most of the student body consists of a bunch of unintelligent, immature, imbeciles who haven't left high school yet.
  • Public safety is a joke; they spend more time looking for vehicles to hand out parking tickets to (and believe me, they WILL find an excuse to ticket you) than fighting actual crime.
  • Also, the school tried to implement a pay-per-credit system this past year. Basically, if you took 12 credits per semester (which wouldn't allow you to graduate on time), your tuition is reduced. However, if you were a motivated, ambitious student who actually wanted to graduate on time (which requires 15 credits/semester), your tuition went up TREMENDOUSLY. The graduation rate at this school is already pitiful enough!
