The university presents itself as a small one -it is-, with an average to good education quality in liberal arts or humanities. The program I chose was Psychology and it was not as good as expected. People at BU call themselves friendly, outgoing and open minded, like everybody who don't have these qualities. While there are many nationalities around the campus and in classes, most of the students here are as -or more- exclusive as they can get. Either you party everyday of the week and let go of your education, or you just don't party and don't have any fun. Anywhere in between you'll be considered as weird, but it's not a big deal; I chose education over partying after a while. The real issue is that the professors don't know their subjects fully or are sometimes unprofessional in their approach. They are accessible, but don't expect to learn much in the psychology program except the statistics and biology-related classes if you like to explore the field of your study a little more than some people. Also, I'd like to point out that residence life isn't that good either. We had a broken door for a shower for more than a month, without any fixing. This led to having only one shower for a lot of people. There are many kids that drink every night and are loud, obnoxious. If you are a bit serious in your studies, take a quiet residence. Also, try to avoid teamwork, as BU students in my department are lazy and just like to have a good time, leaving you most of the work. BU has its bright sides though, with a really clean environment, a sports complex and an above the average cafeteria. The support for the students outside of the educational aspects is also something to look at if you're in need (personally, I didn't have to use it, but I've heard they are really competent).
