I agree with the other posters in regards to Iona preparing students to enter the world of work in the 21st Century. Before you choose Iona, make sure you ask for copies of all the companies that attend Iona's Job Recruitment fairs, for all majors. Also ask how many of Iona graduates were hired. You don't just want to hear about the few successful alums - that are in pictures on the walls, on the website, and in Iona Ads. Ask for reports - ask to see how many of the Fortune 500 corporations have recruitment days at Iona. Get details - get statistics, and facts. Now, I graduated, and I'm looking for a job, I have big loans to pay back to Iona - and all I get from Iona - is letters asking me to contribute to their current campaign.I could have saved so much money, attended a community college and obtained a certificate in Healthcare or a different field - and developed the skills needed to enter today's workforce. Iona's rankings, compared to area colleges, are so low. I did receive an award to attend Iona, but the money I paid out on tuition and fees was to high for the return I received. I would advice any high school students considering attending Iona to do extensive research, spend days on campus, and ask a lot of questions.
