GMU is a beautiful and safe school. The opportunities are plenteous. However, the science department is extraordinarily unorganized, with an overwhelming concentration of student teachers who are not qualified teachers. For this reason, students often languish in frustration over misunderstood lessons, and little to no help with the subject matter. Moreover, the advisors and professors are unavailable, without scheduling an appointment 2-3 week prior. Often times, the issues have compounded by that time and the student is too far gone. In short, a lot of students fall between the cracks. |
