Guilford seems like a open and accepting environment in theory, which is what I first thought about the place, but the environment changed very quickly. They make you take FYS/FYE classes during the first semester of freshman year but they are useless and coddle you till the point in which those credits do not transfer and the intention is to keep you there. If you are not a pothead, athlete, feminist, trans, gay, lesbian, black, liberal, international student, social justice warrior,nerd, Quaker, absbergers, or a Palestinian muslim then you will not fit in here at all. Our student body president lied about an assault and the administration hails her as some sort of crusader and hero. The school has recently been awash with tyrannical black lives matter groups that aim to get a large portion of teachers fired due to suspected racism with zero proof. The school just got a new president and she is capitulating and in no way will be able to keep guilford economically afloat in the next ten years. Guilford is a joke and if you are from north Carolina or the south i recommend that you look elsewhere such as Elon, Gardner Webb, Campbell or Cawtaba. Guilford has a tiny endowment and a small amount of donations which in toll creates higher rates of tuition. Diya Abdo a professor here recently brought a Syrian refugee family onto campus to live without even consulting the students or the parents of the students here. Max carter another faculty member a draft dodger is viewed as being brave and strong on our campus when he is in fact an antisemetic capitulating member of the school. Guilford claims to be quaker but it is anything but that, you will be taught that communism, socialism, marxism, are good and those are the true Guilford values. They let the Palestinian kids run amuck on this campus and if you are white but do not hold any white guilt you will be viewed as racist and bigoted. Progressivism and regressive leftism are held as deep values in the Guilford administration. I do not recommend going here at all, if you are a straight, conservative, male you will be excluded and you will have to find a social scene outside of Guilford or seek it out, because conservatives are very hard to find. A professor here named Jim Hood actually wrote an article stating that certain people do not belong at guilford, and that if you are not radical then you do not belong here. Guilford is a complete mess and the administration refuses to take charge and make guilford strictly an educational insitution but instead they want it to be an expensive playground where insane tyrannical social justice warriors rule the land and any differing opinion is viewed as bigoted. If you are easily offended and sensitive and believe that political correctness is good and that micro aggressions are real then you will fit in at Guilford very well. guilford is too politcal and it's not a fun place to be unless you a complete and utter leftist.

Guilford focuses on politics and social justice in all of its facets, the issue is that they want to unleash indoctrination on the students and the teachers will judge you if you do not accept their liberal opinions, guilford is not a place of learning but a place of protest, oversensitive students, wasted money, if you want to walk out of class in protest instead of learning then Guilford is the place for you. Do not go here if you want an education, You can get the same experience of guilford if you watch the show Portlandia, hang out at occupy wall street or hang out Bonnaroo.
