Take your Gen ed classes at a community college. The price is better an you will not be rushed through. I was able to transfer my credits and I know it was well worth the extra time it took to get my degree. Be prepared to debate political and religious worldviews they get off on that stuff its everywhere. If you are taking night class be forewarned the courses are rushed through, and they hire part-time staff but don"t train them to lead the class. Its a free for all some days. They will work with you to get a tutor and the department chair will help you. If you have a backround in electronics and need a brush up or a degree I recommend the night program. If your brand new I suggest daylight or another school. The night program is too rushed and unorganized to teach the ins and outs required to work in the field. Also get your own solder training. The teacher was so unprofessional and rude it was unreal. They claim to follow IPC standards but they teach students to smash a stranded wire and jam it into the plastic space of a connector then solder it. Do that in the field and you will damage equipment, risk someones life (if instrument fails), or get fired. I go to PTI because two nights a week really fit for my personal life and obligations. My advice is be proactive before, during, and after you go to school and do whats best for you.
