The recruiters often lie to students and threaten them into filling out paperwork. My "student contact" called me at my job and demand that I drop everything and complete paperwork that she had lost or my GI Bill would be taken away. I was in disbelief she would tell such a lie, and blame me for her own negligence. She later started a rumor that I was delinquent on money owed to my previous college after I complained about her actions. The financial aid department was also rude; the young woman spoke to me as if I was stupid, avoided questions about the total cost, and the availability of loans. The teachers come in all forms, some good, some bad, but none were terrible. I can't blame the teaches too much; the college treats them worse than the students in some cases. The RN program was just an expensive revisitation of my LPN school, I didn't learn anything new. The nursing tests banks are full of errors and have been heavily modified in which the questions no longer makes sense, or the correct answer has been altered so that it is no longer correct. The entire class fails the tests and the teacher modifies the grades so that most students just barley pass, an 80% is required. I went from a 3.7 GPA to a 3.0 in the nursing program. Last but not least, expect a high degree of sexism in the nursing program, males are unwelcome. A great deal of the power points lectures, and even a few test questions depict males as stupid, uncaring, walking hormones. |
