I am so thankful I got involved with Greek life at Samford. If you aren't involved in something, especially Greek life, you will be bored constantly. The campus is boring, and there is absolutely nothing to do on weekends. The worst part about Samford is the poor facilities. Every dorm room I've ever been in is old and falling apart… This applies for both male and female dorms. The hot water doesn't work half of the time, there is mold all in the showers, and it is just overall disgusting. The bathrooms look like something out of the 50's, and they looks like they haven't been renovated or cleaned since the 50's, as well. Overall, classes are fine. They are challenging, yet you learn a lot. There is a lot of room for growth and professors that are willing to have a relationship with students in order for academic and personal success. I am actually transferring next semester. Samford isn't for everyone, and I guess it just wasn't for me. If you are coming to Samford, be prepared for a very small environment. Yet, if that is for you, then by all means go for it! |
