I thought I would hate college but I LOVE URI! I made amazing friends, joined great clubs, received an internship my first semester and I made the deans list. My Professors for my major are very knowledgeable and care about you advancing in the program. They also have a lot of resources here to help such as office hours, review sessions, and the academic enhancement center. If you put the work into it, then you will most likely do well in your classes. The food here is pretty good too (smoothies are so good!) We are 10 minutes away from historic Newport and 40 minutes away from Providence. The school also offers cheap tours to different places (Boston, NYC, Whale Watching, etc.) so there is always something to do. They also offer free entry to sporting events. event though our football team isn't the best, our basketball team is pretty good and the ryan center is beautiful! We also have a lot of celebrities come here to perform. We had Steve Martin, Josh Radnor, and Fetty Wap come here this year. Overall, I am really enjoying URI and I hope others will take URI into consideration while college searching. |
