I am graduating in a month. I wish my parents would have let me transfer as I wanted to after my freshman year. WJ can best be described as a "no fun" school. There is no off campus housing although they consider the residence halls and frat houses off campus. The basically are glorified dorms run by the school. The surrounding area is a ghetto. Social activity even on the weekends is lame at best. They do a slick job of marketing the school and twist numbers of their alumni stats but in truth the career center is laughable. They basically tell you about public job fairs that ANYBODY could research or attend. Very few prospective employers come to campus to recruit. I am not even sure why they have the career development department to be honest. Compared to other schools, it is drastically lacking in helping their students attain jobs or post grad positions. As I mentioned, I am thankfully graduating in a month and not one single friend of mine has a job or solid lead on a job lined up. Spend your money and time else where, this place is over priced and really did not provide an enjoyable college experience. |
