I came to this site to review student comments. I am currently enrolled at Iona College, but I will be leaving at the end of this semester. I will be attending a different college in the Fall, 2016, and wanted to read feedback from their students. I decided to look at the comments about Iona. Sadly, I have to agree with the negative comments. For a business school, Iona is so poorly managed. Iona needs to restructure and hire staff that no how to Supervise and Manage - and Run a business. So many departments are so mismanaged, don't care, and don't have a clue. Like others, I'm going to spend my $50,000 tuition money at a college that cares about student life and student success. The comments about MONEY are so important. It's sad, because Iona's money, is going into Bricks not Brains. Iona doesn't have a college life or a business sense. So many students - my friends at Iona, also feel the same way. There are nice people at Iona, who do care, but in my perception, they are burned out - working in a unstructured environment. I hope Iona can fill the rooms in their current dorms, forget about the new ones.Students can take virtual courses, courses at community colleges, and save so much money. I decided to enroll at Iona because I wanted to experience "COLLEGE LIFE". Life at Iona is more like High School sometimes Grammar school life. There is no life at Iona - social life - and, in some cases, academic life. |
