I really enjoyed my time at Mac. While I was there I played football, took part in student government, and was in a frat. I will admit the freshmen dorms, and the lower costing dorm weren't the best in the world, The nicer dorms up campus were extremely nice. Honestly compared to most other colleges the dorms weren't bad at all. I will say that the food in d-hall improved from my freshman year to my senior year, but it still could have been better. Pipers was amazing! I do however wish there were more dining options on camlus. The professors were all helpful, and fair. The college provided all the tools needed to succeed. I will admit weekends were boring because everyone went home, but there was always something to do. Now I know a lot of people on here say there was nothing to do, but honeslty there is, it's just a lot of the people who say there is nothing to do don't take part really in anything because they feel that they are above it. There's always the sqaure which is awesome to go hang around if you don't have anything to do especially, if you like to drink. Also there is a park down the street with a lake, and lake jacksonville to go catch some fish, go swimming in, etc. Student lofe always tries to do stuff as well, like casino night which it's awesome to go and act like a big shot at the poker table. If thats not enough then there is always Springfield 30 minutes away. I will say that the president in charge when I graduated wasn't the best since she was only.concerned with doing fundraisers for the college with allumni, and was tottally dis connected was with the college, and with reality at times I do feel that the recent change in leadership will make a big differnece. Also I really like the new dean of Student life Joe who was my R.A. My freshman year. I do feel like Macmurray has slowly been catching up over the years, it just take time. Honestly I'm kond of jealous of the current students with all the improvements that have been made since I graduated.
