Charter Oak is a horrible school to attend. The faculty are decent, however the admissions/directors/financial aid departments are appalling. They do not assist you whatsoever with any help or requests you make. I had to reapply to the school 3x, not one of those fees were refunded to me. My advisor advised me to take courses I did not need. They make you take a basic course, that you must pay for, that is supposed to test your knowledge yet it really does nothing for you. Though the professors weren't bad at all, the process in order to attend the school and graduate is ridiculous. You are required to pay $500 to graduate, that does not include a cap/gown and that does not include a hard cover folder for your degree. It's only a fee they require you to pay. Also I just recently graduated with my second Bachelor's degree. They said it would take 6-8 weeks to arrive. After two months of waiting, I finally received it and the degree title was spelt incorrectly! How embarrassing! They do not offer you a partial refund for your grad fees, nothing. I suggest going to this school, not becoming an actual student and just taking courses online that you need in order to complete a degree else where. I have a few friends and family members who have tried this school as well and have all had a bad experience.
