My very first experience was on orientation day. My "advisor" was meeting with me to set up my classes for my first semester. I had many transcripts from a few different schools that I had sent in as per the schools request. Not only did my "advisor" not have my transcripts AT ALL, she also seemed to be even more clueless than I was about how to set anything up. Professors do not teach. I was told I would have ONE ON ONE time with a professor for my math class. What really happened was that I had to TEACH MYSELF CALCULUS and any time I met with the professor she was irritated with me for not understanding the curriculum. She was annoyed and would constantly make comments about how I "just didn't want to learn it" or I "just have to want to understand it". I spent countless hours studying and trying to learn from YouTube videos instead being taught anything. Even classes where I naturally do well had issues. I already know how to paint, and got an A in my painting class. When I started planning my next semester, my painting professor, out of nowhere, told me I would probably not be successful at another class and would have to come in during the summer. She told me I would not be allowed to bring my daughter to our meetings becausepeople would complain(this is a school intended for working adults and adults with children, who often are brought to the school). I felt I had to skip the second semester and I decided to try to take any remaining classes cross registered at a different school. This is the laziest most unorganized school I have ever been to. No not go here unless absolutely necessary. Also, if you are a veteran, be aware that they WILL NOT give exemptions to former military for immunization records like other schools will. Make sure you have your military health records! |
