Overall a great education. Now, could that same level of education be attained at other institutions such as UMD, or Mt. ST Mary's? Probably. The problem with McDaniel, is that because it is relatively isolated from everything in Westminster, it is up to student to create their own fun.

Now there down under, and rafts, and of course olourdans, but house/apt parties are the norm here. The growing concern is that the college has become increasingly hostile toward Greek life, as well as the social scene in general. I hate to say this, but when I was there it wasn't uncommon for them to shut parties down by 10:30. Now, I know what you're thinking, parties aren't everything and I want to go somewhere and get a good education. You're 100% right. But why then, can't you go to a school that has great degree programs, and also a great social scene. 99% of the memories college graduates have are not of the Econ test they took sophomore year, but of the great tailgate they had, or the time they had a highlighter party with a fellow Greek org. Even how freshman in Rouzer made the 4th floor into a slip n slide. Talk to your parents, or anybody that you know that went to college. They all have funny, unique memories of their time at their school. As a prospective student, find a place where you can make memories of your own and get a good degree. If it was me, I would look elsewhere before I committed to come here again.
