Expensive and overrated. If you are minority this is great place but if you are an otherwise, non-standard student, this place sucks. I am older, student seeking first degree and I need a little help. You will get as much help as is needed to maintain you as a revenue stream, but not a bit passed that, sorry. They should change the mission statement to "We dont care, we dont have to!" The staff is supportive with oh I am so sorry, but no help beyond that. They have built 4 new buildings and my class was assigned to the movie theatre with NO DESKS OR PLACE TO WRITE! GEE I FEEL APPRECIATED, NOT. They screwed up my financial aid 2x. They didnt admit me the first 3x times I applied. I screwed up 2 terms 40 years ago, so now I am up against financial aid limits. Gee they are so concerned about graduation rates, but admitted me knowing that I would probably not be able to finish my degree. THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE. I CANNOT WORK, THAT IS WHY I WENT BACK TO SCHOOL. So even if I can get the money to finish, I will literally have nothing to live on, nothing. If you like Portland and just want a generic degree then PSU is the place for you.
