I was accepted to UB as a graduate student for the College Student Personnel program. I completed the program in two years while working fulltime and received a 3.9 Overall GPA. The program isn't as easy as community college, but it is not challenging whatsoever. The professors were mediocre at best, and I was surprised a large portion of my peers knew how to spell their names. A couple of students whom were in my Masters thesis class failed the capstone course, however were still eligible to graduate. I did not spend a lot of time on campus being a graduate student, however I would not even do so if I were an undergraduate. The times that I spent at the UB library I got a glimpse into the social life at the college- let's just say from a safety standpoint, stay far away. UB is in one of the worst cities in the US. While I attended, an international student was robbed and killed while walking to his residence hall. Do yourself a favor- go to one of the Connecticut State Universities and save yourself money. |
