I have been less than satisfied with the quality of education I have received here. While there have been some great professors who do care about students academic success, at least half do not. Which is quite a large number. I've been particularly frustrated in my science classes because the class sizes can be close to 400 which makes any kind of extra help from the professor hard. The professors of these large classes seem to care the least and are not very helpful which is frustrating because classes such as Chemistry, Chemistry 2, Biology, Biochem, and Organic chemistry are all very hard. And the lack of professors willingness to help makes them harder. Other classes such as English, public speaking, and other gen eds are a HUGE waste of money. You seriously pay money to sit in class and to listen to information you already learned in middle school. A lot of these classes are not even taught by professors but taught by graduate students. What's sad about this is that many of my graduate student teachers actually teach better then professors I have had. Basically, I am beyond dissatisfied. I am actually going to take classes at a community college this upcoming semester and sadly I've heard better things about its quality of education.

One more rant just because I am beyond peeved. The parking here is horrible. If you decide to pay the $150 for a parking pass then I wish you luck on finding a parking spot. I decided not to pay that money this semester and so I walk half a mile to campus everyday. Well, one week I got deathly sick with a 103 degree fever. I came in anyways because I had exams (and the crappy instructors here probably wouldn't have been accommodating to that). I decided to park on campus because I was deathly sick and could barely walk. Welllllll I ended up getting a parking ticket which I appealed. My appeal was denied because apparently being deathly ill doesn't excuse you from parking on campus for 3 hours. I was also charged a processing fee for appealing. Seriously? What assholes. This place doesn't seem to care about its students at all.
