I only stayed here for the first semester of my freshman year. The school made me feel so bad about myself. It is homogenous and everyone is from Long Island, upstate NY, or PA. I really wanted to love this school it was all i talked about when i got in. Really preppy and pretty girls and guys go here and I did not fit in among them which was upsetting. I am average but never have fit in with that type of people and they were quick to judge. The community service options are great but you never have time for them due to the huge course load and they do not happen that often. The only fun thing to do here is get obliterated on thursdays, fridays, and saturdays and the only night life is the bar Green Frog where you can ensure your fake will pass the inspection. it was not that safe, I would constantly get emails and text messages that the off campus houses would get broken into, and I never felt safe walking at night. Also, most of the girls are against marijuana which i thought was crazy. The work is really challenging in the exercise science major and the lab assistants (who are graduate students) are mostly very bad. I am sad scranton did not work out for me. |
