I consider my two years at UWO to be the worst two of my life. The amount of xenophobic behavior I encountered from EVERYONE (fellow students, professors, supervisors) was off-the-charts. I was once shoved into a wall and screamed at for an alleged social infraction. One of my professors (with whom I thought I was on good terms) publicly accused me of cheating and then never apologized. Another professor publicly trashed an article I had chosen for discussion despite having approved it when I e-mailed it to her. I have been left stranded in unfamiliar neighborhoods by students who claimed to be my friends. One of my fellow employees was terminated from her on-campus job after without any probation period given. And in fact, her supervisor had promised not to terminate her, so the supervisor lied to her face. The student government is riddled with red tape and biases; in fact, it has gotten to the point where a rule was broken in such a manner that would justify a student suing the school. DO NOT waste years of your life at this institution! You can get all the education you need elsewhere! |
