I'll be totally honest, Michigan State was at the bottom of my "backup" list of schools that I was applying to my senior year of high school. With some good friends from my tennis team applying, I thought it as nothing but another application sent out. Unfortunately, I didn't get into a single school I applied to despite a 34 ACT, solid but not great GPA, and insanely good leadership positions on extracurriculars. Just goes to show you how strange the college admissions process can be. Regardless, I realized I was going to MSU whether I liked it or not, but I didn't even visit the campus until my first day of orientation. But as I sit here during the summer between my freshman and sophomore year, I couldn't be more satisfied with my decision to stick at MSU. |
