I am only a sophomore so keep that in mind as you read my commentary. I am from Chicago and attended Boulder rather randomly. I wanted to go to school out of state and at a big school but I did not get accepted into my first choice. So, I visited Boulder, loved the feel, and decided to go there.

I am rather introverted and get nervous about making big changes. Although I was excited about attending CU I was also worried I made the wrong choice. As time went on I fell in love with this school and could not imagine myself anywhere else. My classes are interesting, the social scene is incredible, Boulder is such a fun city, and Colorado has endless possibilities.

No, Boulder is not filled with pot heads. Yes, people smoke pot. But… people smoke pot no matter what large state university you attend. All big "party schools" are going to have lots of pot. I don't smoke weed often and I never once felt out of place or that the weed smokers dominated Boulder and the university. People definitely party but again, this is a large university. There are people who go out everyday, and then others who go out once a semester. This school is nothing but fun every single day.

Academically, this school is challenging like any college is. The transition from high school to college is always difficult but I feel comfortably challenged and continuously interested in my classes. The professors are wonderful and I did enjoy going to class everyday. The campus is beautiful, the people are sweet, passionate, proud, and humble. Making friends was never difficult and getting into a daily routine was easy. If I had the chance to pick another school to attend college, I wouldn't. This school is honestly the best!!!

I remember looking on here to see what different people said about each university I was considering. I got worried when I saw bad reviews or when I read that people didn't like a certain university. No one is going to be like you! Just follow your gut and go into a university with an open mind and remember that everyone has different experiences!

I love this school so much and I am thrilled and blessed to be able to continue going to this university! Sko buffs!!!!!!!!!!
