Unc Wilmington is a nice school compared to other universities I have been to. Let me elaborate on what I mean by nice, I mean the campus is treated very well. The faculty and maintenance do a great job at making sure the campus is well kept. Also the faculty does a great job at helping every student. They make sure to not just treat you like a number. Which is great for me because I am used to the one on one attention I have gotten from my high school and community college. Some things that I have noticed from my time being here is: The students are not friendly. The only students I have gotten along with are transfer students and that is it. Most of the students that are underclassmen are very snotty and do not want to talk to you if they do not know you. I also noticed that majority of the school does not stay around on the weekends. I don't know where people go but once it hits Friday night people are gone until sunday night. So I'm assuming people end up going back to their hometowns. The last thing about this school is that they will do anything to screw you over with financial aid and be prepared to pay for things at the bookstore and not be able to return them.Overall, I love the Wilmington area and my teachers at UNC Wilmington but if it was up to me to go to a more down to earth school, I would. |
