My experience at Delaware County Community College has been superb and awesome. I am a journalism / communications major who started in Aug 2016. I have had excellent professors, great class schedules, students are friendly but not nosey or pushy. I go to college to learn, not for a social event. My English Comp I class was very good, so I'm puzzled to read that someone else posted that they demanded a refund and got an "F" instead. That just can't be true. The reality seems more like she didn't follow the guidelines at DCCC. If you drop a class, you must meet with a guidance director to have the class removed from your schedule, and there are deadline dates, but even the dates fall very late in each semester. I encourage whoever had the bad experience to perhaps return to college as you get a bit older. I originally went to Community College of Philadelphia in my 20's, and got 1. A 1. C and didn't drop two other classes, so I landed in the same position as what the negative commenter posted.

I have since returned to DCCC at the age of 44, and I am an honor roll student. I've never been an honor roll student in my entire life, at least not until now. As we get older and grow up, we put priorities first. Too, I am paying money out of my own purse for college, so I am certainly going to take it so much more seriously.

I wish that person all the best, and better days ahead.

I love DCCC, and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
