A very low-quality education for a very high price. I have not been able to find a job in my field (Computer Science) due to this being a joke institution that employers do not hire from. My classmates have the same issue with not being able to find work in our high-demand field due to Lakeland's extremely poor reputation. One of my classmates, also a CS major, is now working as a ticket vendor at a theme park part-time because that's all he can find with Lakeland on his resume. As for the environment, the so-called Academic Resource Center is run by a very creepy, obese old man who stares at the students with glazed eyes and heavy breathing, even the middle-schoolers who come to the "Music Camp" in the summer. In another instance, a female international student was sexually assaulted by a guy who invited her to his dorm for "netflix and chill," knowing that she wouldn't understand what that meant. In another case, a man came to the gym and was waving a gun around. After that, all of the security staff walk around with loaded guns. Keep in mind this is a tiny school in the middle of nowhere, not some crime-ridden ghetto. This is even more unsettling because most of these "security" guards are obviously HUGE steroid users, and seem like they just can't wait to shoot someone.
