My engineering degree is worth less than toilet paper. It was very time consuming and expensive to acquire, makes it harder to get unskilled jobs, and has not helped me in the least to acquire an engineering job. I had a 3.43 GPA, graduated on the engineering honor role, had a job as a research assistant at university, and passed the FE exam in electrical engineering. No job 3 years later, not even as a garbage man. I had to leave the country to find temporary work. I went to career fairs, and asked the university for help hiring, and basically they didn't do shit. Also, I went on an exchange program while I was a student, where basically they took my money and did nothing with it. I had no help figuring out which courses to take, and I found out when I got back to the USA that none of the courses at the university they sent me to could have been transferred for credits. Because of their fake exchange program, I had to go to school for another year to finish my worthless degree. Going to KU was the biggest disappointment in my life.
