After acquiring a Juris Doctor at N.U., I took and passed the California Bar. However, I wanted to practice in other parts of the country so I went to law school again at an ABA-accredited school, successfully completed that second Juris Doctor program, then acquired a Master of Intellectual Property. It's been 28 years and while it has been a slow climb to the top, I'm now a partner at a business and real estate litigation firm. and while the degree at Newport University was only accepted in California, the program, the books, the process, the exams were identical to my experience in a school approved by the ABA. That experience opened up the opportunities for a full professional life as an attorney. If you want to study on your own and learn for yourself if a particular course of study is right for you, consider going through an inexpensive program before you try a full-fledged college. Discover if you have the tools to study college-level material.
