Be Careful and Research. A lot of sites take down the negative reviews, but do not be fooled. Throughout this keep in mind that I am in-state, a POC, a female, and achieved above a 3.0 at this school. This school is money hungry, they keep adding coursework and hoops especially for the Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine areas. They allow almost anyone in and keep anyone who has good grades. This means, sexualt assaulters, violent, or problematic people are people they will fight for even if they act horribly. This endangers many on campus. For a POC, conservative mindsets plague the environment which means racism, homphobia, and sexist atmospheres are prominent. For example, the local wing shop has been investigated for racial slurs and homophobic slurs have been written on boards. Back to the coursework, the gen eds are meant to weed out people which sets them back and forces them to pay more or be kicked out entirely. A friend who was not notified that she was on academic probation, IMPROVED her GPA and was still kicked out to maintain success rates and grades. Other issues: not diverse, small town and not much to do, suitcase college where everyone lives close enough to and DO go home all the time, and no credibility or prestige outside of Central PA. |
