Faculty part. Most faculties are extremely helpful, friendly and willing to help students. There are several pretty reputable professors. Faculty is the only reason for me not to transfer to other more reputable cs programs. Student part.been objectified a lot; discussed this with several other female CS students, some graduated, some currently attending, we all have the same feeling. sometimes we even start to worry what if we have to deal with the same type of co-workers in workplace.By the way. Most schoolmates are kind I think. To wrap it up, it is a good program, for its ROI. As a female student, I hope I have attended other schools. The school environment makes me start to have huge concern on being a female science student, which I did not experience in high school(it was a pretty good one, many smart girls, gender ratio is normal). I struggled and discouraged for one semester, screwed my GPA, then luckily be able to coop with them.Anyway, I am off to grad school … I do not care if someone recognize me. |
