"Community" is a buzzword at JBU for a good reason; I can't recommend this university enough. The faculty shine because they are extremely personable and accessible. Fellow students tend to be extremely welcoming, as well. The dorms are spacious and very well-managed, and the Resident Directors and Resident Assistants work hard to maintain a wonderful dorm atmosphere.Couldn't recommend JBU educationally more - it is cooperative rather than competitive and faculty and fellow students encourage excellence. "Head, heart, hands" shows in the coursework. The majors JBU offer tend to be emphasize hands-on learning and usefulness of education. The only person I wouldn't recommend to JBU is someone set on living off-campus. You're typically only allowed to live off campus if you're a senior or married, although some exceptions are made. However, I have found the dorms so agreeable that I don't mind the housing restriction.Overall, I couldn't recommend JBU more! |
