A waste of my tuition money. Compared to many Virginia Colleges, Lynchburg College pales in comparision to providing adequate resources for students, considering the hefty tuition per year (covered mostly through financial aid)

The student body is mostly upper-middle-class caucasian northerners from discreet small-towns that don't have a good understanding of the world around them. The idea of attending a private school nestled in the mountains sounds idyllic, but the reality of a college in a city in the middle of Virginia, where Target and Walmart are the only "fun" things to do on the weekend is a bit depressing.

As far as interacting with people, if you're not in a frat or on a sports team, you're going to feel isolated. I am pretty introverted so it was difficult for me to make friends, and whenever I had a problem and spoke to the faculty or staffed, they phrased it in a way that made it seem like I was at fault. A lot of the students who attend LC are shallow.Everyone grouped themselves together and if you are an outlier, you're going to be miserable. I was so miserable for too long and to add Brooke Craig, who mishandled my financial information which led me to not be able to afford payments on time which ultimately led to my descision to transferring to VCU, which is the best decision I ever made, by the way; I was done.
