I was admitted to the online BS in Mathematics program and withdrew after my second week when I realized it was not going to be a good way to go. The school uses Pearson My Math Lab and I spent more time struggling with using the software to scan and upload images of my handwritten solutions to "show my work" than I did actually completing my math homework. One of my two instructors still had not graded any of my work at the end of the second week of classes. My so-called "success coach" took a month to respond to my first request (made before the beginning of the school term) for a phone meeting, and did not answer my second email at all, so we never spoke at all. Finally, I still have not received my partial refund three weeks after having dropped my courses, in spite of being informed last week by the bursar's office that the refund would be credited to my card over the weekend. I just emailed the bursar again. My advice to anyone looking for an online math program is to look elsewhere. For myself, I decided to apply to my local university and attend classes in person, even though it is less convenient for me. For the record, this math program would be my second Bachelor's and my previous GPA was 3.9. I generally have received As and Bs in math courses and am highly motivated. IUE online is just not a good fit for me and probably not for anyone who does not want to waste their time struggling with crappy software instead of just learning math.
