Tuition is overpriced. The campus is terrible, the buildings are falling apart, and there isn't even enough housing for everyone. The only good option for housing is to get into the Grohmann Tower apartments. However, getting in is impossible, the application process is unclear, the actual deadlines are earlier than the information provided about them states. If you commute, you don't have to deal with the awful housing, but it does make working on group projects and engaging in campus life, impossible. The administration doesn't care about students. Many of the teachers are terrible. A lot of them grade things very slowly, and you often end up getting assignments back at least a month after they were handed in, or never. At the end of each term, students can give feedback to professors, but nothing ever changes. Transferring into or out of MSOE is impossible because of the trimester system. Students here end up depressed and defeated. It is hell. |
