My older brother went to this school and in the honors college. I am in the honors college. Everything has become awful and nasty since then, and this is not Covid causing this. Start with advising, they won't allow freshmen to have the classes they requested. It is a policy now it turns out. I got the classes but not the sections even though the sections are still open. I had wanted to have a couple professors my older brother had and recommended. I was not given a single section I asked for. This is a bizarre policy. They blame Covid for this. Then to add to it, the housing process is awful. They put you through a series of events for housing. But these events are gruesome. In the end, after putting you through these events, where their website does not even work properly to go through these events, they do not have enough space available where you were assigned. They are now putting freshmen off campus in apartments. But the freshmen still have to pay for food service. And food service is a complete fiasco. You are not allowed to eat anywhere inside on campus. You can eat outside, in torrential rains, heavy winds, high heat, and must stay 6 feet from everyone else, or, you can take the bus back to the off campus apartment and eat there. If you are one of the lucky ones to have a dorm on campus, you can eat in your room. They have no plans in place yet for sanitation in the rooms. You are not allowed to eat in the public indoor areas on campus. Other than sports, there are no activities for fall, but you still have to pay the activity fees for the residence halls. I am not sure how that is going to work with being off campus.
