Looking only at the academic side of things, it was not at all what I had expected it to be. Much of my experience was negative. The program did not offer much more than basic introductory level classes in a wide variety of topics that loosely relate to animation, which does not provide for in depth study and truly becoming skilled. There were also classes each year dedicated to a large project, over the course of 1 or 2 semesters depending on the class. As a transfer I did not do 4 projects, I did three, and for the most part I truly feel like 2 of them were huge wastes of time because they did not TEACH anything. They were more of a way to Evaluate what you learned. But as I said before, I was unable to gain an in depth understanding in the subject because of the way the program was structured, with basic introduction to the topic. Few of the professors I had in my major were truly engaging, or knowledgeable enough to teach the classes they were teaching. I have also had a terrible time with the Internship coordination on the end of the school, involving people not replying to my emails and miscommunications. The University has truly been the most frustrating experience I can remember. |
