Troy State University - Dothan

Its a huge scam. They give scholarships to everyone then have teachers that fail 90% of their classes so students loose those scholarships but feel like they are so far into their major its worth paying to finish. Then they have Troy edition textbooks that are one time use only books and cant be resold, even to the university. Their distance learning is a joke. The whole point of online classes is to fit school to your schedule, they require you to pay an additional fee to take at least one proctored exam per class. Online classes already cost more than campus and then they slap you with another expense to take your tests. Now I was thinking I was going to get to finally graduate and I find out my advisor didnt sign me up for what I needed and I am still one class short. And I have 5 extra classes that won't count for anything. Hell will freeze before I send my children to Troy.

I went to TU for two years they were not organized at all on their financial aid. I remember being charged by the health center because they forgot to charge my insurance comapany. When i got a refund they asked for it back because they felt i received to much. They dont care about organization and dont care about the student if i hadnt kept up with my financial aid they would have kept 660 dollars in a refund that they owed me. The worst part was i received a D for a class i had dropped but they never processed and now i have to go against them to get them to take it off. THank God im going to a new school dont come here
