Sacramento State is a great school.Quite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Sacramento State is a great school. I gave negative ratings on facilities because if you go there, you will see some classrooms and lecture halls are so incredibly trashed and uncared for, it is hard to believe we pay $4000 a semester for them. The food on campus is a very large variety, how ever it is SO EXPENSIVE. For instance, Panda Express and Burger King will charge higher prices than they would at a normal franchise - be forewarned! The dorms are ridiculously old & out of date also. Two of the buildings are "temp" buildings from the 1970s, and have yet to be demolished, while the other three are from the 1960s, and are just so RUN DOWN. They keep saying they will build new housing facilities, but they don't. The dorm life sort of sucks too. There's no "party" or even "college" atmosphere there, it's just a couple thousand students living on campus, being babied by the RAs. The DC isn't too bad, they just completely remodeled it, and it's gotten a lot better my two years there. Just a warning to anyone considering Sac State (or any CSU), you WILL NOT graduate in 4 years. Sac State does NOT offer enough classes (or make the classes big enough) to accommodate all of its students. To add insult to injury, they instated a 12 unit cap also, which makes it virtually impossible to graduate on time. No classes, small classes, and unit caps make it IMPOSSIBLE. GOOD LUCK.

I went to Sac State for a fewEconomics
I went to Sac State for a few years then transferred out of state to finish at a real university. This place was a complete joke. I pretty much slept through my freshman year and still got a 4.0.

About 70% of the faculty were cool and helpful. The other 30% are bitter that they're teaching at such a small time school. They'll take it out on their students - make condescending statements to the class, grade incredibly inconsistently, make insane ramblings and call them lectures, etc.Further, it's definitely a commuter school. Unless you're from the Sacramento area and have family/friends around, don't expect any sort of fun.

Super BrilliantEconomics
Teachers are willing to help. Students try to motivate each other. Counselors are real helpful and they keep you on track.
