Eastern Provided the necessary skills and education INot so brightAccounting
Eastern Provided the necessary skills and education I needed in order to work in my field. I attended several universities before this and found that Eastern had a great reputation.I did not enjoy the constant battle with red-tape but that's to be expected with a State school as massive as large as Eastern.

Some professors are good, some other no soBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Some professors are good, some other no so good, and some other should have retired years ago. You are the sole responsible for your success, according to the chair of my program, professors have not moral or contractual duty toward the students, or actually teach something, and some prefer it that way. However, if you work really hard many of the professors are actually very helpful. Speaking your mind with honesty is perceived as a personal attack. Everything you say will be used against you. If you are friendly with some of the professors, keep your mind in school work, and show not concern for the quality of some of your classes you will do just fine.

As an adult in the age range ofBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
As an adult in the age range of 35 to 105 my expectations are probably different.
The lack of temptation in the city encourages study, but I found hard to work in groups in each class. Based on my experience with younger students here, I definitely prefer to work on my own; I try to do my best, not just pass a class.

Like in most schools, memorization is the key to good grades; not enough emphasis in practical application of the course work.

Most of my professors are helpful and willing to spend time with you if you are willing to work hard.

Housing for families have a lot of room for improvement. Family housing on campus has not internet connection, but has poor basic cable. It puzzles me why the university provides a service that dumb people down, and not a service necessary for classes and research.

Online classes should be less expensive than classroom classes, everywhere! Here online classes are around $300.00 more expensive per credit hour than classroom classes. It is a bizarre world.

The school wants to encourage people to take online classes because the cost of delivery is much lower, to do so they charge more. It appears the trend is to provide less and less options for classroom classes with the expectation that students will opt for online classes; common sense tells me that the rate of transfers will increase.

The choices of food in campus are the same as in any small mall's food court. On the other hand, if you like to cook, the local stores are well supplied and the prices reasonable. There also are a few restaurants in town.
