UGA is, simply put, the BEST.BrightPreMed and Medical
UGA is, simply put, the BEST. There are a lot of sorority girls out there (who are, for the most part, really snobby), but there are plenty of other nice people out there too. The good thing about UGA is that there are so many people it's almost impossible NOT to find your niche. The faculty can be pretty condescending at times, but overall they're really helpful. Classes are hard... REALLY hard. Especially if you're premed or a science major.

Getting involved is really easy. Ramsey always has something going on and the night life is incredible. Just remember to balance your free time with homework and study time and you shouldn't find UGA tooooo challenging. It's hard, but not impossible.

Okay, so i have not yet attended theQuite BrightPublic Health
Okay, so i have not yet attended the UGA but i plan on transferring here my sophomore year ( i am currently a freshmen at U of A :( ) but anyways i can say that i have got the opportunity to tour here over break and i fell in absolute love, i was actually suppose to go here last year but my parents convinced me to get my in state school a shot which although there were some advantages in that i will always regret not just coming here! Though I am out of state, i have already met tons of students that go here and are extremely nice, making no hesistation to reach out to me first, unlike my current university! Ive also spoken with plenty of faculty members , all of which have been extremely helpful and kind! I am so ecstatic about going here my sophomore year (god willingly) and i know it will be a decision that i will never doubt! GO DAWGSSSSSSSS WOOP WOOP !

As an Athens native, I absolutely abhorred theGenetics
As an Athens native, I absolutely abhorred the idea of attending UGA. My small, prep school directly fed into the honors program, so I was convinced that my undergraduate experience there would be a continuation of high school. I figured my life would meander down the same dusty, beaten road as both of my parents, and I would never leave my hometown. I believed I had 'experienced Athens' for long enough. However, after several Ivy waitlists and a deteriorated financial situation, Georgia was my only real option. Almost three years later, I cannot commend my hometown university more rigourously. Athens is not a place; it is a state of mind. The University is the heart of Athens, and consequently, all of the resources of the community go to the school. The facilities are incredible, the students are friendly and well informed, the parties are numerous, the classes are intense, and the faculty consistently amazes me. I encourage everyone interested in a fabulous undergraduate experience to consider the University of Georgia. At the end of four (or more) years, you will not be able to tear yourself away. GO DAWGS!
