The high acceptance rate is due to theQuite BrightNursing
The high acceptance rate is due to the clearly stated admissions standards. It should be 100%, because it is clearly stated what requirements are needed for acceptance. People will be admitted if they meet the GPA and ACT - people will not be if they don't. People should not be applying without meeting the requirements.

I am from Boston and Iowa City isQuite BrightGenetics
I am from Boston and Iowa City is BORING as anything. However, people who grew up in the Midwest did not think so. Actually, native midwesterners liked Iowa City a lot. The town itself (it's not a city, I don't care itself what they say) is clean and very family-friendly. It's not the best place to be as a young, single grad student.

The professors are the best in their fields and the people there are friendly, sometimes too much so. You will make friends quickly.I left because I hate Iowa as a place to live. I need more excitement in my life. Also, moving back to Boston, the only responses I get from people are "Iowa? Really? Why?" That can't be good.

I've had one teacher out of 3 semestersNot so brightPreMed and Medical
I've had one teacher out of 3 semesters where the teacher seemed to be genuinely excited to teach the students. Most of them act like they were forced to teach. Most students on this campus are unmotivated and go out drinking every other night. It may seem fun at first but it gets old fast. Also, people either hang out with their friends from their small towns in Iowa or it is the chicago suburbia kids that hang out together. The Iowa kids are very conservative and the kids from the Chicago suburbs think they own the place. (Middle class thinking they are upper class...) Not a very diverse campus, people are extremely closed minded.
