Von Kluge is extremely unprofessional in all aspects of the word.  She smokes with students, is a poor example for her grad and undergrad students.  AVOID ANY COURSE SHE TEACHES.
Student Competency: Unusually High

Liked Instructor?: Strongly Disliked
Overall: A
Class was academically rigorous, unlike most EMU classes where you will get a B if you have a pulse, and an A if you show the slightest bit of effort.
Should do to do well...
you should not miss any of Von Kluge's classes.  Exams are at least 50/50 lecture/text.

If you have a modicum of intelligence and genuinely want to learn about psychology, then take the time to initiate a dialogue with her.

Sylvia Von Kluge is an uninspired, disagreeable, sullen, unkind professor who makes students uncomfortable and apathetic by the sheer nature of her dreary teaching style.  Doesn't keep office hours.
Professors should display positive upright behavior.  Sylvia Von Kluge does just the opposite.  Not being nice to students is uncalled for, and she does this consistently every year, and turns and is nice to her collegues.
Sylvia Von Kluge sucks!!!
