The workload is pointless, she never collected the homework and then gave us impossible vocab tests that were not hard because of the vocab but because you essentially have to read her mind to be given credit for the test.

I did well, but shouldn't have.  Basically, you need to suck up to do well and it gets old..

A student should just participate all the time in class and ask questions when not clear with a concept, because she's more than happy to address any situation.

In order to do well in this class a student should try their best and Dejbord can tell if you are and aren't.  They should also try to make her laugh because then the wall is broken between you and the professor and she's sees you as a human and not a student.

TOO MUCH WORK!  I'd spend at least 5 hrs on her homework because I had to complete the grammar chart along with the work she assigned.  Sometimes she assigns pre-assigned worksheets from the binders, other times work from the book.  I didn't learn anything from her, but that she's Satan reincarnated (the energy off of that woman wasn't right)and my previous confidence for knowing Spanish dwindled.  I would've done better spending a year in Spain than slaving away in that class. 
Should do to do well...
Don't: Breathe, make eye contact with her, show any signs of fear/weakness, fail your first quiz or she'll say you'll fail her class this semester, use any former Spanish knowledge accumulated from previous teachings from a native Spanish teacher who grew up in Chile

Do: Make sure your grammar charts are in proper proportions or she'll put you on blast, raise your hand for participation even if you don't have the correct answer or she'll take it as an insult to her teaching skills, ask her about her trip to Spain with her “lovely students”, make sure you say the vocabulary words EXACTLY how she says them, and most importantly, HAVE YOUR BOOKS AND BINDER AT ALL TIMES!!!  This will really tick her off if you come to class without them. 

Should know...
To do well you have to be her favorite.  Obviously, I wasn't and received a grade that jacked up my GPA before graduation.  If you're an advanced Spanish speaker don't take this class or she'll make it seem like you know nothing about a language you've been speaking for 12+ years.
