Should do to do well...
Don't take any classes from this professor.  Students should avoid Louri, he's had several serious clashes with students.
Student Competency: Unusually High
Student's Grade: B
Liked Instructor?: Disliked

Overall: A
Interesting.  But never gives an in depth explanation.

Should do to do well...
He expects a lengthy term paper.  So write a crappy paper with simulation results.  you will get an 'A'.

Should know...
Keep showing interest in joining his lab.  But do not join it will be hell.

I have to say that he is the “legendary” professor who can still alive around campus even he has some problems with his personal integrity.  Really fond of politics and fighting on irrelevant issues.  Mean Prof.  Hard on others.

Should do to do well...
A student should sleep away his classes — ALL Exam questions are none-related with the class at all!  He asks questions on sth.  that he had never mentioned.  How can people answer those irrelevant questions given that they have spent the whole sems learning sth else?

Should know...
The syllabus made by the grader is OK.  The course should be very useful if only look at the title.  He basically knows nothing and gets angry when asked “tough” questions on class.  The material he uses is from Berkeley course CS152.  I find this out since I find his lecture misleading and want to look for correct explains.  HWs, projects and papers are pretty hard as well.  He gives out grades randomly, really hard to understand this.

A great class given by a one of the best professors in ECE.

Should do to do well...
Follow Prof.  Louri advise and read all handouts.  They are informative but you will be tested on them.

Should know...
take the computer architecture course.  He teaches that class and it is great.
Student Competency: Expert-Level
Student's Grade: A
Liked Instructor?: Really Liked

It's not abt the course.  The professor sucks.  has some integrity problems.

previous rating is unfair.  Prof.  Louri is one of the best professors in ECE.  He is very knowledgeable, caring and respectful.  I wish he teaches more courses.  This is my second course with him.  I took ECE 562 with him before.  Great courses and professor.
