Overall: D
This class was boring and we had a lot of meaningless assignments.  This class added no value to my overall graduate experience.  I am glad I studied digital painting on my own because students do not gain mastery skills from this class.  Marc Lopez is a disappointing instructor.  I did not learn anything new.

Should do to do well...
Learn digital painting by watching and reading industry professional tutorials.  Extremely basic digital painting techniques are taught in this course.  It could have been a high school course.  Marc Lopez writes many compliments in his feedback and then leaves students with grades of B-, C, C-.  He does not provide the proper feedback to allow students to make improvements for next time.  He would write comments such as, “Great drawing, good perspective, and excellent work on the lighting.  Going forward you are mostly there, and don't worry you will get there.” I am not sure how feedback like that is useful.

Should know...
Turn in all your assignments on time.  He marks down heavily even if you are only a day late.
